This is the only factory original 16 inch i know that didn't come with the typical black fender flares. It does have the body cut-outs to give room to the 16 inch wheels but because of the Dehler sideskirts there was no room to fit the fenders.

It's no longer in it's factory original colours (see left) but it's a genuine 16 inch. On the right you see pics from ho it was when new.
The Tristar syncro one could also get with alloy keyhole wheels. The rims were 16 inch BUT these were no 16 inch syncro's. The wheels in fact were not bigger than the 14 inch wheels since lower porfile tires were used.

16 inch Carat : 3 : one with an MV engine for Sepp Maier and a second one, also with MV engine for Franz Beckenbauer, both football players in the German national team, and a third one for the director of Steyr-Puch. The last one had the same engine but later got an upgrade to 163 hp from Schick Turbo. This is a upgrade you can still have done by Schick.
